Today, the conventional field jacket is gradually losing its role in military clothing. In the summer heat and when wearing the vest, UBACS shirts are used more and more frequently, in the cold, thermal underwear and in windy weather the light storm jacket is used. The conventional field jacket is worn today only in the deployment or in the case of equipment shortage or simply out of habit.
The field jacket Amfibia Far and the traditional field jacket made of lightweight and solid fabric is sewn with Ristop, but is much more functional and universal, as it resembles the storm jackets and softshell jackets on average. The hood protects against weather, serves as camouflage for the head in a plant landscape and forms a soft cushion on the neck, which is advantageous when using a protective vest and makes wearing the jacket generally more pleasant. The cargo pockets can be adjusted according to the size and shape of the contents and allow a large amount of structured transport. If required, shoulder bags can also be used, which have comfortable horizontal openings and zips. The jacket's main zipper opens in both directions, facilitating access to waistband and back-mounted gear. The main zip has a triple fix at the bottom. The stand-up collar covers the neck to the chin. The cuffs not only have a Velcro fastener but also an elastic waistband, which allows you to easily look at the watch. Particularly noteworthy is the extraordinary cut construction of the shoulders and sleeves. These areas are free of seams, which is particularly advantageous when wearing a backpack or a protective vest. This makes these areas waterproof and frictionless. The sleeves are comfortable and allow intensive arm movements without the jacket jumping up. The elbows are reinforced with the extremely strong fabric Cordura 1000D fabric, which makes them particularly durable. The back of the jacket is cut low so that the lower back and buttocks are always covered. On the back there is a spacious bag, which can be used among other things for the ventilation, as well as the zippers under the armpits. The jacket pockets are also equipped with mesh inserts to also provide better ventilation. Elastic cords at the bottom, on the waistband and on the hood allow the jacket to be tighter when needed. The hood moves thereby with the head.
